An Opening Reading Based on Psalm 63

Opening Readings
O God, you are our God;
We eagerly search for you.

Our souls thirst for you;
in this parched and weary land
where there is no water.

I have seen you in your sanctuary
and gazed upon your power and glory.
Your unfailing love is better than life itself;
We will praise you as long as we live,
lifting up our hands in prayer.

You satisfy more than the richest feast.
Because you are our helper,
We sing for joy in the shadow of your wings.

We cling to you;
your strong right hand holds us securely.

(Based on Psalm 63:1-8)
