Call to Worship… from Ephesians 2
One: We were dead in our trespasses,
All: and by nature children of wrath, just like everyone else.
One: But because of his great love for us,
All: God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ.
One: You have been saved by grace. And this is not your own doing.
All: It is the gift of God.
Let us worship the Lord who lifts us up!
Prayer of Confession… from Ephesians 4
Merciful Lord, forgive our sins.
Our words are empty, false, and filthy.
We are full of bitterness, wrath, and slander.
We are corrupt and deluded by lust.
We are not kind, merciful, or forgiving.
We grieve the Holy Spirit of God.
Lord, end our old ways of living.
Renew the spirit of our minds.
Give us your grace,
that we may lead a life worthy of our calling
in true virtue and holiness.
