CALL TO WORSHIP
One: The love and kindness of God has appeared!
All: He saved us because of his mercy,
not because of good things we had done.
One: Jesus Christ gave himself for us.
All: He gave us new birth and a fresh beginning.
Come let us worship God!
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
God our Father and Christ Jesus our Savior,
redeem us from all wickedness.
We are unprepared for every good deed.
We speak evil and fight.
We do not show every courtesy to everyone.
We are foolish, disobedient, led astray,
slaves to passions and pleasures,
passing our days in malice and envy,
hated by others and hating one another.
Renew us by your Holy Spirit,
and make us a peculiar people: zealous for good works.
