The first thing we want you to know if you’re here today is that you’re not here by accident. We believe in a sovereign God, who made everything and cares for everything. So if you’re here it’s not an accident. Consider the words of scripture that you hear a gift from God, and a gift from the people of God. He has gathered us. Let’s hear his word and worship him together.
“Our help is in the name of the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.”
What did God do to help us?
God chose the people of Israel to make a new beginning.
They received God’s covenant promise and prepared the way
for Jesus to come as our Savior.
Let us worship the God who made these promises to us, the God of heaven and earth.
