Call to Worship/Reflection from Job 38

by Mike Cosper on September 10, 2009

Sometimes we need to hear the Lord speak to us, just as he spoke to Job:

“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand.
Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it?
On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone- while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?

- Job 38:4-7

God’s incredible power can only lead us to one response: to lift up our hands and worship him in all his glory and power. What’s even more wonderful is that in Christ, this great God welcomes us and cherishes our praise. So sing out, and worship our glorious God.
