The God who invites us into his presence invites us to come as we are – hurting or broken. So let’s accept that invitation and lay before him whatever burdens are on our hearts.
O God, listen to our cry!
Hear our prayers!
From all over the earth,
We cry out to you for help
because our hearts are overwhelmed.
Lead us to the towering rock of safety,
for you alone are our safe refuge,
a fortress where our enemies cannot reach us.
Let us live forever in your shelter,
safe beneath the shelter of your wings!
(adapted from Psalm 61:1-4)
Take a moment and lay before God whatever struggle or suffering you might be facing.
